The face-to-face training covers theory and practical skills, with an assessment to pass.
Nationally recognised training for individuals responsible for others (adults and/or children) diagnosed at risk of asthma and/or anaphylaxis. Graduates can identify and provide a first aid response, develop strategies to prevent exposure to known allergens and triggers, and minimise risks.
Training and assessment are done on behalf of ABC First Aid, RTO 3399.

- Develop, review and update an asthma risk assessment and emergency management strategy
- Recognise and respond safely to an asthma episode

- Identify and provide a first aid response to anaphylaxis

Prerequisites
No prerequisites. Minimum age 14.
Important: To issue an accredited certificate, CPR must be performed on the floor with no exemptions.
Clothing: Wear comfortable casual clothing — the practical demonstrations may involve bending, kneeling and lying on the floor. Pants and flat shoes are recommended.
